Welcome to the April issue
You might have noticed that your magazine is a little heavier this month as we have been swamped with requests from contributors, new advertisers and event organisers. It is testament to how popular the magazine is, so thank you to our loyal readers and long may it continue!
New advertisers include the Urban Handyman (pg10), who offers everything from flat pack assembly to jetwashing and roof repairs; Supreme Heating & Gas Ltd (pg11), who are very proud to be a 'Which? Trusted Trader' and have great reviews online; The Pizza Box in Broadstone (pg17), a new restaurant and takeaway serving delicious Italian stone baked pizzas; the Decking Doctor (pg26); Table Top Treasure (pg35), which has a number of craft and children's clothing sales planned this year; Platinum Bifold Doors (pg43); Bournemouth Jetting Services (pg47); and nutritionist Melanie Smith (pg21), who offers sessions at the Broadstone Clinic. We were sad to read that David Allen is leaving the Broadstone Clinic (pg19), but he assures us it is in safe hands.
Lots of groups are looking for volunteers: Broadstone Fields in Trust for the Family Fun Day (pg6), the Community Speed Watch (pg10), the local Win On Waste group (pg18), the RVS Home Library Service (pg20), Broadstone Youth Club (pg32) and Broadstone Scouts (pg42). Or if you are feeling creative, why not try a fused glass workshop for a day with Contemporary Fusion (pg71).
Congratulations to the Art Society prize winners (pg48) and to local resident Marjorie Hillman on receiving her Poole Civic Award (pg72). There are lots of local events in April (pg74), and see page 30 for details of all the local church events and services over Easter. Try not to eat too much chocolate!
