TampaPets.org Wants To
Recognize Your Good Deed. –by Cory Cooper
Social Marketing. It’s something that’s been around since sticks were a meaningful currency. There’s nothing new here. When someone treats me right I want to tell people. When I decide to do it with a social media tool instead of over a cup of coffee I’m hoping to really pay it forward. Where social media tools can make a significant impact
is the scope of their reach. Sharing really is caring, with Rescue Groups and businesses having a huge opportunity to help each other. Rescues have incredibly loyal followers. Socially-conscious companies are interested in messaging consumers who are aligned with causes they support. These businesses are often filled with animal loving pet adopters. Adoption events that inspire the public to come out and
support both the Rescue Groups and the businesses helping them is a win-win. Who doesn’t love hanging out with fur- balls? Watching dogs play, cuddling a kitten? It just brings out the best in all of us. Using social tools effectively can seem a little daunting
but they really do make it easier to share recommendations and special offers, supporting rescue with everyday activities. Best of all, you know your actions directly benefit your own community. There are now so many ways to contribute that it’s truly

mind-boggling. In the Good Deeds section of our
TampaPets.org website, we strive to share the best of the best for rescue groups, community supporters and businesses. Every time we hear “I never knew I could do that” it’s mis- sion accomplished for us - and that’s taking that cup of cof- fee to the next level. Please support the businesses, organizations and people
who support animal advocacy. I encourage you to consider dipping your toe into the amazing world of people creating positive change for pets in desperate need every day. Visit
