On June 11, 2016 The New Barker co-hosted the Just One Day Adopt-A-Thon with 10 Morgan Auto Group dealerships and 22 rescue groups. More than 30 dogs and cats were adopted in three hours.


We can not thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to showcase our foster Pugs during the Just One Day Adopt-A-Thon. Each year, we struggle to rescue 300 to 350 Pugs and pay more than $150,000 in veterinary bills. We really could not do it without the help of dog loving people like those of you at The New Barker, John Marazzi and all the good people at Brandon Honda, and Morgan Auto Group. The SPCA Florida in Lakeland was one of the 20 shelters and/or rescue groups participating in the Just One Day event. 35 dogs and cats were adodpted, hundreds of pounds of food was collectred and more than $6,000 donated within a three-hour period.
