Thanks so much for the package. I have enclosed a check for my renewal subscription, although it should be called a “prescription” because your magazine makes me feel so good. I wish you continued success. Jim DeGray Kansas City, Kansas Formerly of Dunedin, Florida

I read your magazine from cover to cover; every article and every advertise- ment. I even look to see who took the photographs. I love it. I do the same thing with your Weekend PupDates email blast; read them all the way through. By the way, I was running the agility course with Bella when I fell. Everyone was so impressed with her. She stopped on a dime when I fell and came over to sit by me. That’s my girl. JoAnn Frazier Las Vegas, Nevada
It is Monday. I am tired and want to go home. I am dragging through my work. I take a 10 minute break and pick up the latest copy of The New Barker and read one of the articles. Suddenly, I am smiling, and hopeful and happy. It is much better than a cup of coffee. I feel energized and inspired. Thank you for what you give to us. 10 THE NEW BARKER NoLa Sofer-Crupper
From Our Winner of the TradeWinds Island Grand Giveaway. This is our furbaby NoLa. We adopted her from Hands and Paws of Pasco. Her mother was thrown from a moving vehicle when she was pregnant with 12 puppies. All 12 puppies lived and so did mom (she walks with a limp). NoLa is now almost three years old and we cannot imagine our lives without this beautiful face. We feel like we are the ones with the happy ending. Thank you for all you do to make these happy end- ings for other fur babies possible. Suzy Sofer and Jeff Crupper Belleair, Florida

The day I have dreaded for so long came yesterday. When I got home Zoey had a seizure. My son Mark and I took her to the emergency vet since it was after 7pm and all the regular vets were closed. There, we put her to sleep. She was a very old 18 and was just wearing out. She couldn’t see and was having a hard time walking, but her spirit was still feisty to the end. The vet could not believe she was 18. So as you can imag- ine it is sad for me, but I am so thankful God gave me this special dog and thank- ful I had her for 8 years. She was just a super great dog, deeply loved by all of us. Because of her I met you and became a fan of The New Barker. She was remarkable, and as you can imagine, my heart is broken.
