sided river mouth is a particular delight and I try to imagine the passengers’ excitement (and Captain’s worry) as they squeeze through the narrow gap guarded by our two castles. Two other favourites quickly spring to mind: the spectacular Regatta
fireworks as they break over the guard ship and the close formation of the Red Arrows with their characteristic red, white and blue trails. Whatever the time and despite any activity below,
the peace and calm at this beautiful viewpoint prevails and this, in essence, is why I love this place so much.•
