Twelve TIPS for Christmas Food & Drink

Try not to fill your shopping trolleys with everything you need for every meal from Christmas Eve until the end of January.


The shops are only shut for one day, that bumper bag of nuts will still be unopened come February and it’s likely you’ll still have the 6 mega-jars of mincemeat in 2022. Plan your meals and make a shopping list and then you hopefully won’t end up with festive overload and you’ll also be able to spend less time queuing at the shops and more time enjoying yourself .


a great way to cook them which we love and which brings out lots of flavour, much more than just boiling. You need to halve the sprouts and put a couple of tablespoons of olive oil in a wide frying pan to heat up. Add the sprout halves in one layer with the cut side down, season with salt and pepper, cover the pan and cook the sprouts over a medium heat until they are tender and a good golden brown on the cooked side. Take the lid off and stir through some chopped parsley or crunchy pumpkin seeds - delicious.

cooking your turkey which you can get in every foodie magazine and website, we thought we’d give you a few, hopefully helpful, twists for preparing for and perking up your Christmas. So, in no particular order here are our 12 tips for festive foodieness that help us get through the feasting -

Get as much food prep done in advance as you can – we make the gravy


and stuffing, wrap sausages in bacon and prepare all the veggies on Christmas Eve. You can also make your sausage rolls and mince pies in advance and freeze them. It all saves lots of time especially when there’s plenty of other stuff


happening – you know, presents to open, friends to see...


We love big breakfasts or brunches over the holiday season – they mean you don’t have to cook 3 meals a day and
