files and buffers on file

NSI’s Endurance Files claim that they “last four times longer than the average abrasive and are extremely effective for rapid product reduction, therefore easing nail tech effort and fatigue.” Use the straight edge to shape and define sidewalls and the free edge of enhancements, while the half-moon edge makes refining the cuticle area more comfortable for the client. Furthermore, the files can be disinfected in just 10 minutes with total submersion in, or sprayed with, an EPA hospital grade disinfectant, meeting the highest standards of salon sanitation.

Long-lasting and designed for comfort, the ibd Jewel File collection features four of the brand’s best-selling files and buffers for enhancements including the Emerald file, which adds a smooth finish to artificial nails; the Sapphire file, which is ideal for blending tips and contouring cuticles; the Ruby file for sidewall filing and shaping artificial nails and the Diamond buffer, which creates a high shine on acrylic or gel nails.

CND™’s latest collection of must-have nail files includes the Kanga 240/240 grit which refines new and rebalanced enhancements and can be used to shape natural nails; the Hot Shot 100/180 grit, a fast acting, firmly padded black board for taking down length; the CND™ Blizzard Board 100/180 grit, a white grit file which reduces thickness with less residue and the CND™ Glossing Buffer, which creates a long- lasting shine on natural nails and is ideal for accessing hard to reach sidewalls.

Featuring six professional bridge shaped files and buffers, The Edge Nails’ Pro Pack includes the Zebra Cushioned File in both 150/150 and 180/180 grits, the White Polar Cushioned File in 240/240 grit, White Foamie File in 100/180 grit, Grey Foamie File 220/280, and the Pink Super Shiner 1000/4000 grit.

Bio Sculpture’s Large Grey File (220/220 grit) is ideal for any buffing on the natural nail. A harder grit such as that found on the brand’s Zebra File (200/280) is used to break the seal of the gel prior to soak off. This grit level is coarse enough to file through product allowing gel remover to penetrate the gel. A natural nail would need a grit of the Versafile (180/280 grit, pictured), as this grit level will not damage a natural nail while filing but will be coarse enough to shape a natural nail.

The OPI Pro File Sample Pack includes one sample of each of the new professional files and buffers to take you through every stage of the manicure process. It includes three files dedicated to the nail edge (150, 180 and 240 grit); two ‘Flex’ foam buffers, which are easy on the cuticles and provide maximum comfort and control, and an OPI Pro Shiner which will buff enhancements to brilliant, glass-like finish.
