Ferne Beauty launches
Television presenter and star of The Only Way is Essex, Ferne McCann, has launched her own self-tanning range under the Ferne Beauty UK brand.
The seven-product range launched in June, and is made up of ‘Deep Glow’ (pictured), ‘Natural Glow’, ‘Gradual’ and ‘Express Tan’ in both lotion and mousse formulas, along with ‘Gradual Tan’ to suit all of your clients’ self- tanning needs. The range is infused with floral and fruity scents including Pear, Peony and Bergamot, and includes Argan oil and collagen to encourage brighter, hydrated skin.
“Sunless tan is a way of life for me,” explains Ferne. “It was important for me to develop a range that is not only kind to your skin but gives you the confidence, benefits and ease of a home tan.”

Brand ambassador
Sienna X have appointed Carly Hobbs as their new brand ambassador.
Bringing a wealth of knowledge to the role with her, Carly is a tanning expert, make-up artist and beauty writer. She trained at the London College of Fashion and has worked at red carpet events, magazine shoots and on London Fashion Week shows such as Henry Holland, Issa and Julien MacDonald. Carly has also tanned famous faces including Claudia Winkleman, Laura Whitmore and Lindsay Lohan.
Carly says: “I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Sienna X and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and expertise with all of their lovely customers.”
Faking it
Online hair and beauty retailer,
Hairtrade.com, has compiled a list of their top tanning tips to share with your clients, ensuring they stay perfectly bronzed this season.

Hairtrade.com said: “The Summer season is here, despite the recent dreadful weather, and it’s always nice to look tanned and bronzed during these few months. If you follow these simple rules, then you will get that perfect tanned finish without any noticeable patches!”
Included in
Hairtrade.com’s advice list are some age old tips including exfoliation, wearing loose clothing after application, and shaving or waxing 24 hours before applying tan. However, it also includes some more quirky tips such as rubbing a wedge of lemon over any streaks to lighten them up, or using a curdled milk mask on your face to remove any tanning mishaps.
Tan enhancing Australian tanning brand MoroccanTan® is launching two new tan enhancing retail products this September.
MoroccanBronzer is a blend of warm bronze tones with a subtle shimmer that aims to enhance the complexion and achieve a radiant finish. Enriched with vitamins E and C to prevent signs of ageing, the product also deeply hydrates the skin. The lightweight formula blends into the skin, minimising pores and imperfections.
MoroccanIlluminator has been formed with light reflecting pigments to create a sheer illuminating glow. When used together, the products are ideal for highlighting and contouring.

3D tanning
Fake Bake has teamed up with their Global Creative Consultant and celebrity tanning expert, James Harknett, to launch a 3D Tanning Kit, created to fulfil the demand for face and body self-tan contouring products.
Using his expertise, James has worked with existing Fake Bake products to make it easier for clients to achieve a 3D tan.
“Our kit contains two best-sellers, the newly launched Flawless Coconut Tanning Serum and Airbrush,” James explains. “Each kit comes with straight forward instructions that indicate where each product should be applied; it’s the same technique I use on my spray tan clients.
