“Europe has a long and extremely successful history of developing life- changing wellness destinations that harness the best of modern and holistic medical approaches, creating programs so effective that clients return year after year,” said Susie Ellis, GWS Chairman and CEO. “Decades of positive results can’t be ignored – and the entire Spa and wellness industry can learn a tremendous amount from these leaders.

Investment for QHotels Group

Luxury Hotel and Spa group, QHotels, have announced a £500,000 investment in developing and extending Spa and leisure facilities at The Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort in Glasgow.

The investment will aim to improve the flow of the Spa, enhancing the experience for visitors. It will also see the recruitment of 10 new members of staff and three additional treatment rooms.

Work is currently underway, and is expected to be fully completed by the end of this month. During this time, a temporary Spa has been opened to ensure guests can still enjoy the facilities and treatments that are on offer.

The Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort General Manager, Paul Bray, commented: “This renovation will enhance the Spa journey for our guests and provide high quality facilities to match our high quality service.”

The company was founded in 2004 by director Gillie Lane, who wanted to create a luxury Spa experience without having to venture out to a Spa. The therapists bring along heated treatment beds, candles and soft music, and carry out their treatments using Neal’s Yard products.

The visiting Spa company are currently recruiting and are keen to hear from accredited freelance holistic, massage and beauty therapists. For more details, contact 01625 540 557 or email recruitment@mypersonalsanctuary.co.uk
