Guild News’ confirmed as highest circulated
Dear Readers
Well what a few weeks we’ve had here in the UK. After the majority result to leave the European Union and subsequent political fallout, there’s been a feeling across the country of turmoil and uncertainty. Whatever your political views about the outcome of the referendum, our new Prime Minister insists that “Brexit means Brexit” so we must prepare for the inevitable.
Over the coming months, and likely years, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the key issues that will affect our industry, such as trading negotiations and the free movement of people, and keep you fully informed of any changes that may have a fundamental effect on how you run your business.
For now, until Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty (which sets out how an EU country might voluntarily leave) is triggered, we must sit tight and see how Theresa May drives this forward.
From a personal perspective, one positive to come out of the last few weeks is that we have a woman in Number 10, and potentially a female President of the United States. Whether you agree with May or Clinton’s politics, the younger generation of girls need to see what they can achieve – nothing is off limits.
I was recently invited on a visit with Mesoestetic to their Barcelona HQ along with a group of clinic owners, all of whom were serious businesswomen who had grown their companies with determination, hard work, intelligence and business acumen. The fact that they were women was incidental. It was inspiring as I listened to this group, some of whom were competitors, share their advice and knowledge between them. This is what can be achieved when we work together.
So during this uncertain period, let’s forget the backbiting, anger and fearmongering felt across the UK – positivity will prevail when we work together.

Guild News has received its latest certificate from the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC), which certifies the magazine’s total average net circulation per issue of 18,019 copies, maintaining our position as the UK’s highest circulating trade title aimed at the beauty, nails, tanning and spa sectors.
The certificate, issued for the period 1st July 2015 – 30th June 2016, confirms that the magazine is distributed to ‘salon owners, directors and managers working within the beauty, nail, holistic, hair, barber and aesthetic industry.’ The certificate also states that the magazine is distributed to therapists, technicians and students, and those working in beauty salons, hotel and health Spas, health and fitness clubs, tanning centres and holistic practices plus wholesalers, manufacturers and distributors.
ABC certification is the genuine way to judge the quality and quantity of a magazine’s circulation, as publishers who volunteer to be audited have to go through a strict process. You can view Guild News’ ABC certificate in full on our website at
