Visit the museum each month to join a behind-the-scenes chat with the Museum Curator. This open house-style morning in the Beaubien Tavern will feature different topics, light refreshments, and some special guests throughout the year.
CHICAGO WINTER AUTHOR SERIES Every Saturday, February 4 - 25 beginning at 1:00pm Join us for this free, unique celebration of local history and culture with the authors who write about it! Saturdays in February, authors from around Chicagoland will present their books in a fun and informal discussion. The Author Series will take place in the parlor of the Netzley-Yender Farmhouse where coffee and refreshments will be served. CELEBRATE READ ACROSS AMERICA! Saturday, March 4 from 10:30-11:30am Nancy Gee is back for storytime this March to celebrate the joy of reading! Come read about the adventures of the flying squirrels, Al and Sal, and their friends during this free children’s event at the museum. (Suggested audience: children from Preschool through 5th grade)
KIDS TIME The museum invites families to come to the museum for a morning of free fun! Themed activities will vary each month and will be held in the Beaubien Tavern.
Proper Peonies - Saturday, March 25 from 10:30-11:30am Learn about our favorite Lisle flower, the peony, and make your own!
Great Gardens - Saturday, April 22 from 10:30-11:30am Find out why beautiful gardens were so important to historic home life and learn to
make your own garden craft.
