TFT reaches new heights

Experts hired to examine the outside of a building in Birmingham city centre certainly needed a head for heights. That’s because they had to

abseil down the side of the property, Attwood House, which is next to the Rotunda. The abseilers were called in

by Birmingham surveying firm Tuffin Ferraby Taylor (TFT), on behalf of new owner the Crown Estate, who wanted to know what kind of condition it was in. TFT's Chris Gibbons said:

“The condition of Attwood house was particularly important as it shares some external features with the adjoining Grade II listed Rotunda. We look forward to overseeing the external repairs.”

The pefect location for new office

Chartered surveyor and commercial property consultancy Sanderson Weatherall has relocated its Midlands operation to a new office in Birmingham city centre. Sanderson Weatherall has agreed a five-year lease

over a whole floor at 122 Colmore Row with landlord Evenacre. The new office is located in a Grade I Listed arts and crafts building and provides the firm with a city centre base, ideally situated close to Birmingham New Street Station.

‘We were drawn to 122 Colmore Row thanks to its fantastic location with high class facilities’

Peter Fowles, partner and head of the Birmingham office, said: “This office move marks the next stage in the growth of Sanderson Weatherall’s presence and activity in the Midlands and comes at an exciting time when the city and region are undergoing a renaissance not seen since the post-war era. “We were drawn to 122 Colmore Row thanks to its

fantastic location with high-class facilities, and we are very happy with the service provided by Evenacre and their letting agent CBRE.

“We are now well placed to deliver our distinct

integrated approach to the provision of chartered surveying and property consultancy services to clients across the Midlands with local, regional or national requirements, and are confident that we can grow and further develop our offering from this impressive base.” Sanderson Weatherall gained a presence in the Midlands in 2015 with the acquisition of Solihull-based PNF Chartered Surveyors, which was immediately rebranded as Sanderson Weatherall. The Birmingham-based team now has the capacity

to offer a full range of property and asset services across the Midlands and operates as part of the nationwide network of offices. Paul Jones, managing director of Evenacre, said:

“Sanderson Weatherall is exactly the type of occupier we were targeting at the time of refurbishment. Peter and his team have fully bought into our sustainable approach to office development, together with appreciating our close attention to design and detail.”
