Local clinic is of

national interest A hair loss clinic in Monkspath is attracting visitors from all over the world, despite being in business for a year. Brandwood Clinic, a health and hair follicle

replication centre, has attracted people from 11 different countries including America and Nigeria. And, as the procedure typically takes place

over three sessions separated by five days or more, it has led to clients staying in hotels for up to two weeks and generally boosting the local economy, with spending on food, drink and entertainment. Clients have come from Argentina, France,

Ireland, South Africa, Sweden and Thailand as well as most parts of the UK. Clinic director David Andrews said: ‘It’s been a

revelation. We anticipated making a splash within the Midlands but to have people travel such great distances to see us is hugely rewarding. “All our international visitors have been

positive about the area, its facilities and appearance as well as the people, in turn this is helping to enhance both the world class service delivered by Brandwood and the reputation of the area as a genuine visitor attraction.” Brandwood Clinic is a world-leading centre for

scalp micropigmentation (SMP), a form of medical tattooing that replicates the appearance of hair.
