Law firm wins top-level legal accolades

Harrison Clark Rickerbys has received a record number of accolades in the prestigious Legal 500 listing of major law firms in England and Wales. The Worcester-based firm’s

success is marked by a collection of top-level ratings, and the acknowledgement of three of its lawyers as leading individuals in their fields nationally. Alongside recommendations for the firm in 18 practice areas, 40 of its lawyers are also recommended for their expertise. Rod Thomas, Harrison Clark

Rickerbys’ managing partner, said: “These listings, which not only rank us highly in our own regions but acknowledge our strengths in a national context, are a firm endorsement of our ability to offer city-quality legal expertise locally.”

Acquisition for Gateley

National law firm Gateley has acquired Birmingham- based specialist property consultancy Hamer Associates in a £2.05 million deal. Hamer Associates, to be renamed Gateley Hamer, is

the second acquisition Gateley has made since the group’s admission to AIM in June 2015. In April, the firm acquired specialist property business Gateley Capitus. Founded in 2000 by chairman Charles Hamer, who

Associates is the second acquisition we have made post-flotation in our strategy to bring complementary and specialist services in to the Group. “Hamer’s first-class reputation and acknowledged

46 CHAMBERLINK November 2016 On the ball: Solihull Moors FC under-13s girls team

Clarke Willmott joins the Solihull Moors team

Lawyers at Birmingham law firm Clarke Willmott LLP are celebrating a new sponsorship partnership with the Solihull Moors FC under-13s girls’ team, in a deal which came during Women’s Sport Week. The law firm is sponsoring the

up-and-coming team this season as they compete in the Central Warwickshire Girls Football League. Partner Rayner Grice said supporting the junior girls’ team was important to her colleagues

who feel passionately about encouraging young people into sports and supporting non- traditional women and girls teams. Rayner said: “We are delighted

to be supporting the Solihull Moors FC under-13s girls team this season. The women’s game has come on in leaps and bounds in recent years. Football is not traditionally viewed as a women’s sport. However the rise of the women’s national team has inspired more young girls to become involved in the sport.”
