NEW! Be a Tree Detective (7-12 years) Are you curious about trees? How do pine cones grow? And do trees flower like plants in a flowerbed? How many kinds of trees are found in Illinois? We’ll use an easy botany key to identify trees by their leaves and other clues. We’ll explore the grounds of Friendship Park Conservatory with a nature walk and even have some fun at the park. NEW! Let’s Flock Together (7-12 years) Have you ever noticed how many different kinds of birds visit Clearwater Park? Let’s join the birds and ducks where they hang out! The pond provides a wetland habitat, a food source, and just plain old fun for them. We’ll have fun too, as we listen for their whistles and songs, and watch for birds of all colors and kinds that might be migrating in May. We’ll bring the binoculars! Meet you at Clearwater (1717 N. Conservatory Eco Day Camps
Outdoor Adventure Camp (6-12 years) Reconnect with nature and your friends with good old-fashioned outside fun. Morning camps feature hand-on nature and science themed fun and learning through demos, crafts, activities, outdoor games and recreation. Each camp session includes a visit to a nearby nature center or forest preserve to explore and interact with nature in Illinois. We promise loads of fun! Camp fee includes t-shirt, supplies, snacks, and field trip. Campers must be 6 years old by June 1, 2016. New themes each session! Day
