Performing ARTS Celebrate music and theatre this summer!
Private Guitar Lessons (9+ years) Learn the basics of guitar (electric, acoustic or bass) with instruction on chords, songs, how to read notes, time signatures and scales. These private 30 minute weekly lessons are de- signed for the individual student. Beginners to advanced levels, children and adults welcome. Styles include rock, alternative, blues, folk and jazz guitar. The instructor will contact students to arrange the time of individual lessons. Some time slots are filled with continuing students. To reserve your time slot, please sign up by the end of each session for the next session. Lessons run for six weeks with the exception of the extended daytime lesson plan on Wednesdays. Vocal Music - Private Voice Lessons (9+ years) Sing freely with confidence - without pain or strain - just like a professional. Our instructor has 30+ years professional vocal experience and will cover the basics of breathing, focus, intonation, vowels and vocal expression, as well as music reading and rhythmic practice. A variety of music styles will be covered. Working on a piece for a show or audition? These lessons will definitely sharpen your understanding, confidence and performance of your piece. Little Thespians (5-8 years) Join us for a unique opportunity as we introduce and explore the role of visual arts in theatre. Our experienced and silly staff will lead the children through an entirely Art Studio written production of fairy tales with a unique twist and emphasis on set design, costumes, scenery, playbill and finally, a Friday production. Drama Queens and Kings (9-12 years) Our Little Thespians have grown up! Join us for a next-step acting camp celebrating the visual arts in theatre. A week-long study of set design, costume, props, playbills, make-up and more! Our experienced staff will lead the children through the completion of an original production (lots of input from our OLDER actors) with a Friday production!
