To make a golf event more special Hershey Country Club partners with Golf Genius. “This is software that lets golfers feel like they are playing in actual televised tournaments,” says Ned Graff, PGA general manager.


Golf Genius helps clubs and organizations have more fun and raise more money with less work. The cloud-based software is used to organize and manage golf events, leagues, trips and fundraisers. The Golf Genius team is comprised of PGA profes- sionals and marketing experts. They call themselves the golfers, the geeks and the gurus. Their software provides live scor- ing, a custom league portal, optimized pairings and the broadest range of tournament formats in the industry. “We are able to send notes through an app and design event websites to help spread the word very quickly,” applauds Graff.

While lifting event planners to celebrity heights, Graff also takes time out to look at golf fromanother viewpoint. “Golf does more than raise funds, inspire employees or expand corporate awareness. It builds character. Players quickly see if an employee or prospective client upholds the traditions of the game. Is that person someone I want to work with or to repre- sent our company? Those questions are frequently answered on the golf course.”


Another great source for golf packages, outings or corporate getaways is the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. There are numerous courses dotting this picture postcard region.
