aw firms Irwin Mitchell and Thomas Eggar have merged to create a £250m legal services business, with a top-five private wealth legal team.

The merger will see the turnover in the combined business team rise to more than £80m. The newly merged firm will see Thomas Eggar’s expertise in the retail, financial services, technology and media, and manufacturing sectors complement Irwin Mitchell’s specialism in corporate, employment, real estate, commercial litigation, banking and intellectual property law. Thomas Eggar’s six offices in London and the South-


East will be added to Irwin Mitchell’s 11 offices. The merger will see all 450 Thomas Eggar
