ancy some different entertainment at your next corporate event? Then what about hiring a Cossack dancing act, a
Polish balancing act – or even a Sixties band? If you do, then Staffordshire entrepreneur
Andrew Simpson is your man. For Andrew is the “fixer” who can arrange for an entertainer or inspirational speaker to add “celebrity magic” to any organisation’s festive function – or any other occasion for that matter! Ten years ago, Andrew was voluntarily putting
on high-profile charity balls and concerts - one of which featured Alexandra Burke from the X Factor – in a bid to raise funds and awareness for families of children and young people coping with emotional wellbeing difficulties. Today, he is the successful owner of COSAM
Entertainment and Strategic Artist Management, representing almost 40 showbiz acts and staging tailor-made shows for corporate entertainment at locations throughout the country. Not only that, but if you want to enlist the services of a top-flight motivational speaker to help boost your team’s performance, then
acts have TV, West End, cruise ship and corporate experience, he has also moved his business on to provide celebrities for voice- overs and product launches.

Andrew is the man to approach. Andrew, now aged 60, said: “I was 57 when I launched COSAM Entertainment – after a career in financial services and running my own sales- training business. But my advice to anyone is that it’s never too late to start a new business or career. I am thoroughly enjoying every minute of being able to develop my business even further and being able to provide work for fantastic quality entertainers, speakers and motivational workshop experts.” It was during his fund-raising experience that
Andrew got to know about the intricacies of licensing, legalities and contracts – while meeting celebrities such as Simon Cowell, Sharon Osborne, Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton. While many of Andrew’s international-class

local businesses More Staffordshire small and medium sized businesses will be supported following the extension of a long-running county council partnership. The Staffordshire Business Loan Fund
was set up by the county council in 2009 and has been delivered by not-for-profit loan organisation BCRS. In September, the county council’s cabinet agreed to extend the fund for another three years. Now it has been announced that BCRS will continue to deliver the fund following a tender process. In 2009 Staffordshire County Council
recognised that small companies were finding it difficult to access essential finance from banks and mainstream lenders, and has since developed 165 loans with a total value of £4.25 million. Over 1,000 jobs have also been created or safeguarded. Staffordshire County Council will invest
£200,000 each year. BCRS will match this and additional funding made available through the North Staffordshire Risk Capital Fund (NSRCF), meaning there will be a total of £500,000 a year available for businesses in Staffordshire and Stoke-on- Trent.
Fundraiser helps heroes
Burton on Trent-based roof tile manufacturer Russell Roof Tiles marked its 50th anniversary by presenting a cheque for an impressive £8,000.00 at a fundraising football match for Help for Heroes. Help for Heroes is a national charity that
provides support services for men, women and their families who worked in the armed forces. The charity football match was held at the
world famous St George’s Park – and was a fitting climax to the company’s 50th anniversary which has seen the business raise over £18,000 for both Help the Heroes and Macmillan Cancer Care. The 11-a-side charity match was made up of
both Russell Roof Tiles staff and customers, including representatives from Avonside, SM Roofing, PJ Colours, Liberty Roofing, Bracknell Roofing and Advanced Sites Services, who all came together to support the cause. Other fundraising activities for Help the Heroes
have included The Russell Roof Tiles anniversary celebration last September which was attended by 200 guests and included an auction, hosted by BBC sports presenter Garry Richardson. Dean Williams an ex-serviceman, accepted the

wonderful example of people rallying support and having a great deal of fun while they raise money for a great cause.” 2015 has been a highly memorable year for
Russell Roof Tiles. As well as an enormous number of anniversary events and activities, the company was recognised for its excellence in manufacturing, winning an award for Large Manufacturer of the Year. Andrew Hayward said: “It is fantastic that as
part of the anniversary celebrations we have also been able to give something back to such great causes. Help for Heroes is a superb charity and provides essential support for the brave men and women in the armed service to aid their recovery.”
