 WHATʼS ON  RUMWELL FARM SHOP TO LAUNCH CAFÉ


Rumwell Farm Shop in Somerset is due to open a new café this spring.


Commenting, Anne Mitchell, Co- Owner of the farm shop, said: “We are very excited about our new venture. The building work is currently run- ning to schedule. Fingers crossed for good weather during the coming months. “We anticipate the café will be fi nished in the spring. It will cover 220


square metres and will be able to seat approximately 80 people. We will be employing about 10 new members of staff to help run it.” The food produced by the café will be sourced from Rumwell’s own farm, which is just four miles away and also from regional suppliers. Anne added: “We aim to use fresh, local produce that is in season as much as we can. Families will be welcome to the café and there will be a menu especially for children. We will also serve carvery on a Sunday and during the week afternoon tea and high tea, as well as alcoholic bever- ages. There will be a lovely view too from the café of our orchard.”

Research from Cornwall based Sharp’s Brewery has revealed that 63% of Brits in the South West would re-live the last 10 years and make them more adven- turous given the chance. The fi ndings coincide with the launch of Sharp’s ‘There’s an Adventure Brewing’ campaign, which aims to reignite Britons’ lost sense of every day excitement. The team behind ‘There’s an Adventure Brewing’ and Sharp’s continued growth gathered at Daymer Bay to commemorate its launch, where Stuart Howe, Director of Brewing, Sharp’s Brewery said: “Being based on the Cornwall Atlantic coast, adventure is part of our everyday lives at Sharp’s – whether it’s surfi ng, rowing, or living out our passion to create new and exciting beers.” The fi rst adventure will offer members of the pub- lic the chance to join Sharp’s Director of Brewing and world renowned brewer, Stuart Howe, in a journey to create their very own personal brew.
