Get Fruity
If you’re on the look out for something to perk up your snacking routine, Get Fruity is a new bar packed to the brim with nourishing ingredients. Fruit, oats and virgin coconut oil are gently baked into bite-sized bars, full of fl avour but with none of the nasties like artifi cial fl avours or preservatives. They use beetroot juice for colouring and their apricots are sulphur-free and juicy. Certifi ed vegan and suitable for diabetics, they’re an ideal treat to pop into kids lunchboxes or your workbag.
If you fancy making something for yourself, we’ve pulled together a selection of delicious and easy recipes to inspire you to improve your snacking habits. These recipes show healthy food doesn’t have to be boring - chocolate mousse or chilli cheese fries, anyone? All it takes is a little planning ahead of time and you’re all set for guilt-free treats.
OATY SMOOTHIE Makes 1 large glass
❤ 4 brazil nuts ❤ 1.5 mugs oats (180g) ❤ 1 ripe banana, peeled ❤ 2 Medjool dates, pitted ❤ 1 heaped teaspoon ground cinnamon
❤ 1 teaspoon honey ❤ optional superfoods: 1 teaspoon maca and/or 1 teaspoon baobab powder
1 Leave the brazil nuts and oats to soak in a bowl of cold water for an hour or so to soften, or overnight.
2 Drain the water from the oats and nuts and then place them in a blender with the peeled banana, pitted dates, cinnamon, honey, maca and/or baobab powders, if using, and half a mug (150ml) fresh water. Blend until smooth and creamy.

EASY AVOCADO CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
These little chocolate mousses are one of the best speedy snacks or desserts. The secret ingredient here is avocado, which gives them the thick, decadently creamy feel.
Serves 4
❤ 2 ripe avocados ❤ 4 really ripe bananas, peeled (400g) ❤ 12 Medjool dates, pitted ❤ 4 tablespoons almond butter ❤ 5 heaped teaspoons raw cacao powder
❤ optional: drizzle of maple syrup
❤ optional: sprinkle of chia seeds
1 Slice the avocados in half, peel their skin away and remove their stones. Then place the fl esh into a food processor.
2 Add all the remaining ingredients to the food processor with a splash of water and the maple syrup, if using, then blend into a smooth, delicious mixture.
3 Divide the mixture among four ramekins or little glasses and sprinkle over the chia seeds, if using.
4 Keep chilled in the fridge until you’re ready to eat.
