Rojales Neighbourhood Watch Group
will be holding their next meeting at 11am on Monday 2nd March in the Municipal Centre in Ciudad Quesada. This will also be their Annual General Meeting at which will be discussed proposals for the continuation of the Group and appointment of new officers. It is hoped that the new Chief of the Local Police will be coming and also a Social Worker from Casa Verde will be telling us about the Day Care facilities available

Moraira UFO Discussion Group
This is a friendly discussion group which meets up every 2nd and 4th Thursday from 6pm to 8pm at the Jacaranda Bar, Moraira, located at the corner of Calle de Mar de Timor and Camino de Viejo del Portet. We aim to promote investigation and research in order to share information and discuss topics related to this subject. A speaker will discuss a chosen topic and this is followed by a question and answer session where all will be invited to discuss the subject of the talk and possibly expand on the theme. The group offers those who are interested the opportunity to learn more about this fascinating subject. For more information email

Rojales International Day
The Rojales International Day will this year be held on Saturday 25th April. The format will be similar to last year. Stalls with food dishes typical of various countries along with entertainment also representative of countries, especially of those now residing in Rojales. Anyone wishing to assist in the organisation of this event, or participate either with stalls or entertaining are asked to please email

Trumpet and piano duo to perform in L’Alfas del Pi
The Duo Lakota-Andreini will perform in the Casa de Cultura, L’Alfas del Pi, on Saturday 14th February at 8pm in a concert organised by the Sociedad de Conciertos de Musica Clasica de L´Alfas del Pi (
www.alfasmusica.com). Tickets 10€ on the door.
Oliver Lakota, trumpeter, from Germany and Matteo Andreini, pianist, from Italy, both international soloists in their own right, will perform together in an exciting and unusual programme which will include arrangements of well known pieces and specialist trumpet repertoire.
Oliver Lakota performs his baroque, classical and
contemporary repertoire for trumpet to a wide audience worldwide, performing solo and with orchestras. He is also committed to inspiring a musical audience for the future through his work with the Ministry of Education and Culture of Bavaria.
Matteo Andreini is professor of piano at the Municipal Musical Institute of Grosseto and artistic director of the Guido d’Arezzo Symphony Orchestra in Italy. He performs solo, with orchestras and with professional singers and soloists. This rare combination is one not to be missed. Full details are available on the website.
