New venue for the the Vega Baja Garden Club

The Vega Baja Garden Club has a new venue, Bar Trasgu, Calle Alicante 12, Formentera del Segura. Bar Trasgu serves excellent tapas should you wish to have lunch before the meeting! The Committee has been busy organising a programme of events for the forthcoming months. The Club will have its annual Luncheon in February, at La Boheme Restaurant in Quesada. Members voted to return to La Boheme after last year’s excellent meal. In future months a range of topics will be covered by invited speakers and Club members and flower arranging, growing, and other competitions are planned. The social side of life is not ignored, there are frequent team quizzes as well as trips to places of interest. A summer lunch party is being planned for the warmer days. Spring is not far away now, and the Club aims to encourage all its member to make the best possible use of their outside space, however large or small it may be. The beneficial effects of beautiful plants and flowers to the human soul cannot be denied! If you are interested in gardening and would like to come along please do so, the Club is always pleased to welcome new members. Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month, with a summer break. General gardening tips are shared, and question and answer sessions often help with difficult or obscure problems.
