Saturday 1st November, Craft Fair , Dunblane Cathedral Halls 10.30am-4pm. Cafe & 30 stalls. Entry 50p (accompanied children free). Proceeds supporting the Dunblane Cathedral Handbell Ensembles.


Saturday 1st November, A Charity Christmas Card sale organised by 4th Dunblane Guides will be held in the Victoria Halls, Dunblane on from 10-12noon. Entry is free and refreshments are available for a small charge. Many local charities will be in attendance selling cards and Christmas gifts.


• Sunday 2nd November, Artlink Central’s Biennial Charity Art Auction 6.00pm - 9.00pm, University of Stirling, Pathfoot Building, FK9 4LA


• November 7th until January 5th, Art Unlimited has an exhibition at the Smith Gallery in Stirling from entitled ‘Diversity’, which will consist of paintings by members of the group, displaying a wide variety of styles, techniques and subject matter.





Friday 7th November, Autumn Quiz at the Rural Hall, Northlea, Doune at 8pm with whizz quiz-master Niall Bowser. Tickets £5, proceeds to the Hall refurbishment fund Teams of 4, or come along & make up a team on the night. Tickets from the Information Centre, Main Street, Doune or at the door on the night. • Sunday 9th November, Forth Valley Friends of Scottish Opera. Life in the Pits This month we have Stirling-born Stephen Adam, along with Sarah Harrington, to tell us about life in the orchestra pit (with live musical interludes). Sarah plays the cello in the Scottish Opera Orchestra and Stephen retired as Principal Cellist last year. He is also a pianist and composer/arranger and will be at the keyboard on this occasion. All very welcome. 2.30pm, Smith Art Gallery and Museum, Stirling. Members £5, Visitors £6, Students £1.


• Monday 10th November, Dunblane Cathedral Guild “Heart for Art” is the title of the talk at 2pm, in the hall. This is one of the current projects supported by the National Guild. It encourages people with dementia to express themselves; and promotes their abilities and potential.


In this way they can connect with society and they, and their carers, can build supportive relationships.


• Monday 10th November, Dunblane Arthritis Care 26th A.G.M. takes place 1.30- 3.30pm Supper Room, Victoria Hall followed by Scottish theme entertainment. Final arrangements for Christmas Treat will also take place. Branch information Pat Anderson 01786 822505
