Delete it once you’re sure the consequences of eating it outweigh the benefi ts. Ask yourself if they do. Ask yourself if the food you eat most often makes your life better as a whole, or worse.

Yes, there are some people who can enjoy a couple bites of whatever they want without giving it a second thought. We all have that friend. But if your weaknesses turn into binges, or if they’re the foods you continually end up regretting, then stop trying to make it work.

This is a common cause of diet failure. When people greatly

improve their diets and

sustain that improvement for a while, their confi dence soars. And sometimes those same people want to test themselves by trying to fi nd out what would happen if they just had a little bit of the thing they used to pig out on. Is the risk really worth it?

In order to end that destructive relationship with the junk you’re hooked on, you have to stop thinking that going without it for a couple of weeks is a good reason to indulge in it again. You have to realize that there are a bazillion better options out there.

Upgrade what you’re allowing into your life. Foods that are good for you, that help you reach your goals, and that taste amazing actually exist! Just like the perfect guy. Nourish yourself early and often with those, and you won’t even notice the idiot foods.
