Quiz night - A date for your diaries, on 4th October HELP of Denia and Marina Alta will be once again be holding an Autumn quiz at El Cid Restaurant, Benidoleig. The format will be the same as at previous successful HELP quizzes, teams of no more than six people, a two course meal will be provided and a ‘fun’ game of bingo will take place half way through the quiz. Arts & Craft Fair & General Market - Siesta Group (old Iron Art) Gata de Gorgos will be having an Arts & Craft Fair & General Market on Saturday 20th September from 10.30am - 4pm on behalf of HELP of Denia and Marina Alta who are celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year as the oldest charity in town. There will be lots of stalls to browse and buy from. If you would like to participate in having a stall up to 3 x 3 metres at 10€ any extra metres at 5€. HELP Of Denia And Marina Alta events
The U3A Marina Baixa trips organiser Rob Parker has organised a 3 day 2 night visit to Peniscola from Friday 3rd October until Sunday 5th October. The hotel stay includes breakfast and dinner with wine or water included. The trip includes a visit to the walled town of Morella, a visit to a rice factory and Eco Museum at the Ebro Delta and a boat ride on an underground river into the St. Joseph´s Caves. Other optional boat rides are available but not included in the price as there is such a variety of choice available. A Treasure Hunt is to be held on Friday the 12th September at 6pm in Villajoyosa with an optional evening meal. The date for the Annual Christmas Gala Evening has been arranged for Saturday 13th December at the Albir Playa Hotel with overnight stays available. For more details visit our website

U3A Marina Baixa to visit Peniscola
Popular local Music Director, Judith Phillips, welcomes you to her new music venture, The Casa Tom Community Choir. Judith says that the aim of the Choir is to welcome experienced singers and those who have never sung in a choir before - and everyone in between - to come together and make good music. Men and women of all ages are welcome. Judith believes that everyone can sing and should be given the opportunity to experience being part of a choir. The emphasis will be on having a good time, making good music and discovering new friends. No one will be asked to do an audition or to sing solos and there is no requirement to read music - although you may if you wish. It goes without saying that a cup of tea or coffee is offered as an essential part of the choral experience! The choir will meet at Casa Tom, Avenida JACA 31, San Luis, Torrevieja at 2pm for 2.30pm every Monday from 8th September. There is plentiful parking and disabled access.
