News POP INTO A WORLD DESIGNED TO INSPIRE
An innovative pop up festival, aimed at inspiring new generations of designers, architects, scientists and engineers, is coming to London.
SBID is one of the partners of Technopop London, a fully immersive technology exhibition running alongside a programme of workshops and events.
GOLD KEY FOR INGE
It promises to give youngsters access to innovations and ideas from the worlds of science, technology and design. One of the four key ‘Zones’ in the eight weeks of the festival will be the ‘Built Environment’.

MAY DESIGN SERIES
The UK’s defi nitive furnishings fair, May Design Series, will be returning to London’s ExCeL between 18-20th May this year. With a line-up of almost 400 top quality brands, May Design Series is the ideal event for designers to meet new suppliers and source products for the year ahead - a fi tting partner for SBID.
Uniquely timed to form the fi nale of the European show circuit, May Design Series gives visitors the chance to be among the fi rst to pick up the latest launches debuted in Milan, Paris and Frankfurt once the products have been through prototyping and are ready to buy. With an edited selection of exhibitors from across the globe – Australia to China, Portugal to India – international design highlights will sit side by side with the best of British brands. Joining the line-up for the 2014 edition are names such as Sharon Marston, Innermost, Casamania, Zazzari, Swaffer Fabrics, Ebb & Flow and many more.
May Design Series will once again be working in partnership with SBID to deliver the show that the UK’s interior design community deserves. SBID’s Chairman of Regional Directors, Diana Celella, will be hosting a panel discussion on Monday 19th looking at designing for healthcare and assisted living, including care homes, dental practices and hospitals.
