hen JetAviation launched two distinct cabin interior designs for wide-body aircraft, the Basel based studio

fully utilised innovative technology to bring its designs to life.

Their unique presentation of the “Timeless to Visionary” themed designs included 3D video and virtual reality displays which allowed clients to view, and experience, the new interiors.

Renderings of the two designs were created by ACA Advanced Computer Art GmbH, along with a 3D video and a virtual reality display for clients to truly experience the new concepts.

The team also compiled a book outlining the necessary considerations in producing such luxury interiors and which highlighted past, present and future interior designs from the world of private aviation.

Aircraft cabin interior design requires a comprehensive understanding and respect for all certification and engineering requirements.

The close collaboration between designers and the engineering team can be seen throughout the visionary interiors, where furniture elements do not appear to be attached to the exterior frame, but seem as stand-alone within the space. This was achieved by using discreet sidewall attachments.

This allowed the architecture of the interior to be reduced to a minimum and ensure that the luxury of space in a wide body aircraft is fully realised.

The studio’s unique approach to cabin interior design offers a glimpse into the future, particularly as aircraft manufacturers introduce lightweight airframes of composite structures.
