How to enter...
1. Eligibility Entry is open to any writer and entries must be the original and unpublished work of the entrant which is not currently submitted for publication nor for any other competition or award.
2. Entry Limitations Entry is free. You may submit up to 3 entries.
3. Contact Details and Privacy By submitting, you acknowledge that your e-mail address will be added to Figment Creative Expression’s e-mail contact list. Your e-mail and contact details will not be shared with any 3rd parties. You can opt out of future contact from Figment Creativity by requesting to be removed from e-mail lists.
4. Manuscript format Entrants retain copyright in their manuscripts. Short story entries should be no longer than 750 words. Poetry entries should be no longer than 20 lines.
Online submission: Entries must be e-mailed to contact@ fi
gmentcreativity.co.uk in word doc or txt format, with a front page stating your name, address, phone number and email address. Please also state story/poem title and word count.
Mail submission: Entries should be double-spaced and include a front page stating your name, address, phone number and email address. For short stories, please also state story title and word count.
Send submissions, with cheque/postal order made payable to Figment Creative Expression Ltd, to:

5. Competition Judging Competition judges will be appointed by the competitions manager of Figment Creative Expression and the Editor of theWire. Their decisions will be fi nal with no correspondence being entered into.
6. Notifi cation Winners will be notifi ed within 6 weeks of closing date after which date unplaced entries may be submitted elsewhere. Winning entries may not be submitted elsewhere for twelve months after that date without permission of theWire and Figment Creative Expression Ltd who retain the right to publish winning entries in any form during those twelve months.
7. Prizes and publication
A photograph and mini-bio may be requested by theWire and Figment Creative Expression Ltd to accompany the winning short stories and poetry.
The two runner-up poems and short stories will be published on the Figment Creative Expression Website.
