... 21st birthday party!
Well, after last month’s disappointment, here’s the good news I promised.
I’m pleased to say that like previous years, I’m not just going to have a party, there’s going to be fun and games all weekend.
On Thursday night, there’s a wee change to the Jazz Night. Because the Council need the Vicky Hall for an election, the Jazz Night is going to be at The Westlands Hotel.
But we can have it back for Friday night, when there’s going to be a ceilidh, for all the family - parents,
children, grandparents, aunties, uncles, bring them all.
Saturday’s Fling By The River is shaping up quite nicely, lots of entertainment, the Rotary ducks will be racing again, stalls from far & wide – so keep your fi ngers crossed that the weather will be as good as in the last couple of years. But even if it rains, you’ll be able to shelter in a Big Top! Because yes, the circus is coming!
performances,
Alongside some entertaining they will be holding
workshops so you can learn some circus skills.
The concert on Saturday night will be great – Rachel Sermanni is topping the bill.
Did
you see her with Rod Stewart at The Castle a couple of years ago, or on the Hogmanay show?
Last year proved there are a lot of talented people around, and I’m sure this year will be the same, so with the help of The Dunblane Centre, there’s going to be another Talent Show, but it’s going to be on Sunday afternoon.
I’m sure there’s more than enough there to please everyone, so get the word out – I don’t want anyone to miss any part of my 21st birthday celebrations.

will start with a carnival parade leaving the Cathedral at 12 noon.
It will follow the pipe band and some of our performers down the High Street and on to the Drying Green & our Big Top to start the event!
We’d love it to be fi lled with children in fancy dress (and grown ups too for that matter!) so please roll up, roll up and get the party started...
