May! the year is going so fast but fi nally we have welcomed some sunshine which has been great to encourage me out training.... Edinburgh’s Moonwalk is getting closer and I really needed to get a bit of mileage under my belt. Thank you all those who give me a wave or toot of encouragement when you see me out - it’s a great boost and improves my technique for a while too! We’ve always been bowled over by the talent that this attracts and I’m sure that this one will be no exception. If you’ve always fancied yourself as a writer or poet, give it a go and it could be your words we publish in the summer It’s free to enter so have a look at the details on pages 8-9.

May is also time for the FLING. An especially exciting one this year too as it celebrates 21 years!! A real birthday party is planned at Fling by the River and you have a chance to take part by dressing up and joining the parade. This will leave the Cathedral at 12noon (just meet there) and form a procession down the High Street to the Drying Green and the Big Top! It’s going to be a spectacle not to be missed.
