This service is run by our head nurse, Clare Kerr. She has been with our practice for 13 years and is a fully qualifi ed veterinary nurse and behaviourist with COAPE (Diploma in companion animal behaviour)
COAPE is the centre of applied pet ethology and is nationally recognised awarding body in the fi eld of animal behaviour.

Clare has worked for many years in the training and behaviour fi eld and her experience includes teaching puppy and adult dog classes, one to one sessions and working with diff erent welfare organisations. She has a special interest in the retraining and rehoming rescue dogs.
The behaviour service can treat many diff erent pet problems including aggression, housing soiling, noise phobias and separation anxiety.
It is available
to all dog and cat owners. A consultation will take place either at the surgery or in your own home and covers extensively all aspects of your pet’s problems and lifestyle in order to create a tailor made behavioural modifi cation plan. This initial consultation will usually last up to 2 hours. Follow up support is always available either by phone or with one on one training sessions. We also off er an individual dog training service for those canines that are uncomfortable in a class situation, or just need work on a specifi c problem.
Our nursing team also host puppy parties which are a great way for your new pup to socialise with other puppies. Lots of topics are covered each week to help you bring up a confi dent happy dog.
