PQQ


Pre-Qualification Questionnaire – completed to evaluate the suitably of a supplier. PQQs generally cover economic and financial status, technical / professional capacity and legal status.


Q-Mark BM TRADA’s manufacturing certification process scheme for construction products.


REDD


Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation - a United Nation collaborative initiative acting to incentivise emissions reduction through financial mechanisms in developing countries.


REDD+


In addition to REDD above, to include conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks.


REDD++


In addition to REDD+ above, to include all land uses such as agriculture.


RHI


Renewable Heat Incentive. The Renewable Heat Incentive is a fixed payment for the renewable heat you generate yourself.


RPP


Responsible Purchasing Policy- A free due diligence system for TTF members to implement in their businesses.


The RPP also has a suite of tools to help members assess and mitigate the risk of illegal timber entering their supply chains.


SFI


Sustainable Forestry Initiative – a North American certification scheme. A PEFC Endorsed Scheme.


SIPs


Structural Insulated Panels. They consist of an insulating layer of foam sandwiched between two layers of structural board, usually OSB.


Ska Rating A RICS-led and owned environmental assessment method, benchmark and standard, for non-domestic fit-out. A labelling system which is specific project-based.

Structural Timber Association (formerly UK Timber Frame Association) - trade association representing a portion of the UK manufacturers and key suppliers in the sector.


STTA


Scottish Timber Trade Association – a TTF Area Association. SVLK


SVLK (Sistem verifikasi legalitas kayu) is the system that has been developed in Indonesia as their own TLAS (See below) system . It is a tracking system that was approved through multi-stakeholder dialogue to ensure the legality of timber sources traded in Indonesia.


TDCA


Timber Decking and Cladding Association (was Timber Decking Association until 1999).


TEAM


Timber Exporters Association of Malaysia is a trade association for the interest of Malaysian timber exporters.


TFT


The Forest Trust - a global non-profit organisation that helps companies and communities deliver responsible timber products.
