EU
European Union. At the time of publication the EU is made up of Member States.
EUTR
European Union Timber Regulation – as of 3 March 2013 this Regulation makes it illegal to place illegally harvested timber and timber products on the EU market. The legislation requires that due diligence is applied to all timber first placed on the EU market and that traders down the supply chain keep track of what timber, or timber products, were bought from whom and, where applicable, to whom they sold to.

Forests Forever Executive Board – the TTF’s Environmental Committee.
FIT
Feed in Tariff. Feed-In Tariffs are payments to ordinary energy users for the renewable electricity they generate.
FLEG
Forest Law Enforcement and Governance – the umbrella term for the international process of dialogue and government policy formulation hosted by the World Bank.
FLEGT
Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade – the EU’s version of FLEG specifically related to the EU law which establishes the framework for Voluntary Partnership Agreements.

GLA
Greater London Authority – a permanent body providing continuity in the ongoing development and delivery of strategies for London.
Glulam
Glued Laminated Timber. Green Deal
The UK government’s flagship energy saving plan which aims to transform the UK’s building stock to make all properties warmer and cheaper to run. It focuses on energy efficiency improvements of building and started in Autumn 2012.
