The TTF has teamed up with Credit Indemnity & Financial Services (CIFS) for a competitively priced credit insurance specifically designed for the timber industry. CIFS has a wealth of knowledge gained over many years in the timber industry market and is more than willing to speak to Members without obligation.

Credit Intelligence Network
Graydon UK Ltd uniquely operates The Timber & Builders Intelligence Network. This intelligence network operates on a completely anonymous basis, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and allows Members to participate in an on-line forum. Membership of the TTF also includes a trade reference forum whereby a Member can anonymously request a trade reference which is instantly forwarded to all other Members who can then respond anonymously at the touch of a button. Graydon also facilitates regular face-to-face meetings, allowing Members to discuss current issues within the sector, network with industry peers and attend guest speaker presentations.

Credit Information Top Service Limited is a credit reference and debt recovery agency for the UK construction industry. They offer TTF Members special rates for their services. For a discounted flat monthly fee they will provide four free credit reports, free credit advice and guidance, 25% off the standard subscription – with the initial four weeks free.

Contract Forms
The TTF provides a number of internationally recognised contract forms for Members. Most recently, the Softwood Contract “NORSOF” and the Panel Products Contract “PANPRO”. We also operate a Contract Licensing Scheme for Members wishing to use their own identity when issuing contracts, whilst still operating within the contract terms.

Monthly Statistics
The TTF supplies the only authoritative timber import statistics for the UK, published on a monthly basis in an interesting and easy to digest format. Data provided through agencies appointed by HM Revenue & Customs may be prone to errors and omissions. However, the TTF has the experience, expertise and contacts to ensure this information is analysed and corrected before our figures are published. The monthly breakdown by product categories and source provide our Members with an invaluable means to assess market trends and adjust buying strategies accordingly.

Timber in Context – An Annual Review The TTF publishes an Annual Statistical Review of the industry, widely available to the many groups with an interest, including local, regional and national Government, the European Union and international bodies. The statistics provided help to promote wood as a sustainable industry which can deliver tangible benefits to the UK economy.
