If you are interested in being a music education mentor, or if you would like to know more about this process, email or call Steve Litwiller, Mentoring Chair, or myself.
Retirees have an excellent opportunity to continue participation in MMEA. Current NAfME dues for retirees are $45.00. There are no membership dues for MMEA, no conference registration fee, and you receive the MSM free of charge. If you are not getting MSM, contact Marty or Sally Hook at
mmea.editor@mediacombb.net.
Reminder…Missouri School Music is now on YUDU! You can access the magazine on your desktop, tablet, or smart phone. YUDU free “is a digital publishing library that lets you read, publish, and share digital content.” To access current and past issues of MSM, go to
www.free.yudu.com, register for an account, and you’re set. IOS users…YUDU requires “Adobe flash player,” but there is a web search engine app that has a built-in ability to play “flash” style video. Just go to the app store and search for Puffin Web Browser (free version). Using Puffin in place of Safari, Google Chrome, or another search engine will allow you to open YUDU files with Adobe Flash Support over Cloud. It’s free…AND IT WORKS!
Retired members are encouraged to submit an article for the MSM in an effort to share with young music educators the wealth of information available through years of teaching experience.
It was great seeing you at our coffee and throughout the MMEA Conference sessions and clinics. Thank you for your continued commitment to MMEA and to improving the quality of music education in the State of Missouri.
