Totnes Boating Association prepares for Laying Up
After a full boating and social season the executive & members are preparing for the craning out and storage of the members’ boats. Over two days at the end of October with 64 moorings, the boats are lifted by crane from the River Dart at Totnes and positioned within the club’s boat park opposite the clubhouse. The club has 250 fully paid up members and, during late September, we have a Commodores’ Charity Night. This is supporting Dart Sailability towards obtaining a replacement outboard for their motor boat. The club has a very full and very active calendar of
events both on and off the water, right through the whole year. New members can join for £85 and are always made most welcome and should contact, Keith Hudson, Hon Treasurer 01364-643331 or go to the club web site at
www.totnes-boating.co.uk for more information.

October through to March. After that, you may decide to have your boat lifted for a week to anti-foul it etc. We are happy to help. Owners of both sailing and motor boats who wish to
continue to use them for most of the year can do so more conveniently on the marina. Call us to ask about the packages available. This includes parking arrangements for one car, use of our superior toilet and shower block and easy access to all our trained staff to help you with any problems that might need sorting on your boats – maybe things that you have been meaning to do for ages? Call Chris for any service enquiries. Darthaven Chandlery is worth a visit and do have a browse.
It is used by customers from all over the SW as it is already known to be extensively stocked (extra items are stored in our warehouse in Brixham). Our staff all have a great reputation for their friendliness and product knowledge. If we don’t actually have an item in stock, we can often quickly access it for you. There will be some excellent discounts on waterproof clothing and shoes. You might be surprised at how well we match up with on-line sites for those items! Ring our manager, Phil, to discuss any other purchases. We look forward to seeing or hearing from you in the near future. Main Office 01803 752242
