solutions for specialist retailers, has delved into business management of late: first with seminars and pointers, and now with software. The company recently released Businessworx by Avidworx, a full software suite that Principal Jody Culbertson says puts an entire suite of marketing and merchandising tools at a dealer’s fingertips. “Dealers are always asking themselves, ‘How can I affordably get customers into my store? How do I know if what I try is working? How do I find the time to work on this?’ That’s why we created Businessworx. It’s an efficient source that allows a dealer to do everything from a single place.” Businessworx is a single

software package that features five distinct modules, each applicable to a specific aspect of a dealer’s marketing and management efforts. Priceworx is a system that allows a dealer to tag every display product in their store with a make and model, important features and pricing. To use Priceworx, the dealer logs into the software and makes adjustments to the tag information using a searchable interface. He can then print out tags individually or as a complete group. According to Culbertson, the entire store can be tagged in as little as an hour using Priceworx. Dashworx is an analytical
tool that lets dealers look at showroom traffic, close rates, average ticket and monthly sales numbers to get a better picture of business. The system provides the dealer with informative graphs showing current status against preset goals. At the end of every

day, the dealer enters in certain information and is able to view current and accumulative reports the following day. HRworx packages many of the common resources needed to evaluate and hire new employees. It helps the dealer create accurate job descriptions for posting to job boards, suggests interview questions, and even includes a personality test to ensure that the prospective employee is a decent fit with current staff. It also provides downloadable forms to check references, screen callers over the phone and perform group interviews before narrowing down to potential winners.
Adworx provides professional- looking templates to help dealers easily create and publish flyers, special price tags and more. Dealers enter the relevant information as text. According to Culbertson, the system will soon enable dealers to even further customize materials to better fit their store and promotions. Mailworx lets dealers collect email addresses from clients and send targeted promotions and newsletters, all while tracking open rates and gathering potential sales leads. “Email serves two purposes,” explained Culbertson. “It encourages customers to respond immediately to your message, and for those who don’t respond right away, it keeps your brand top of mind for future considerations.” Each of the modules is individually priced with month- to-month payments. The entire Businessworx package is available for $149 per month. µ
