Kinbuck nestles at the side of the River Allan just a couple of miles past Queen Victoria School (on the road to Braco). In the nineties the primary school was closed and a Community Group was formed to ensure that the building was maintained as a social amenity for the inhabitants of Kinbuck and surrounding area, and it now performs the function of a village hall.
An annual programme of social events is held throughout the year, which includes regular items such as ceilidhs, beer festival, pub quiz, jazz BBQ (on the village green) and Burns Supper, with other events changing each year. These have included Musical evenings, wine tastings, Halloween parties to name a few. There are also regular clubs such as Country dance, Book club, and Crook making class. Visitors are always made very welcome at these friendly and lively community gatherings.
The funds raised by these events, along with grant funding, has seen in this last year alone, a brand new main hall fl oor, a new fi tted kitchen, upgrading of toilet facilities, and renewed outside steps.
