Flotation Suits W
On the market…
Any angler who spends a great deal of time afl oat will know just how dangerous an environment the sea, or a large sheet of freshwater, can be. But you can help by stocking good fl otation products.
hile there is a huge range of clothing available that will keep
the angler warm and dry, an ever-growing number of anglers are choosing the reassurance of wearing a one-piece or two- piece suit that contains adequate buoyancy to keep them afl oat should the worst happen. Increasingly, fl otation suits are
fi nding their way into freshwater applications, too, particularly as many trout fi sheries remain open for pike fi shing long into the winter months. Flotation suits are now
common sights and almost standard issue in really foul weather among pike anglers but other freshwater boat and bank fi shermen are also considering the benefi ts of in-built buoyancy more seriously, especially as suits become available in duller colours.
What’s on offer? Sundridge has long been
synonymous with fl otation suits, and this heritage is set to continue with a distinctive line- up of items to suit most pockets and levels of performance. One of the big advantages
of the Sundridge range is the huge number of sizes on off er, from XXXS to Super Giant! T e SAS one-piece and two-piece suits have long been bestsellers, off ering excellent comfort, features and performance at great prices. T e SAS Mk7 two-piece

suit is the latest version in the long line of models to bear the SAS badge and features a more muted navy with red-and-white highlights, fi rst seen on the Mk6. T e EN-TEC 3 suit has
also proven popular for those looking for a higher level of performance. Sundridge’s patented
Crossfl ow fl otation foam is an innovation that really sets that particular range apart, giving reduced weight, improved movement and airfl ow through to the breathable outer. Breathability is a key
consideration in fl otation suits, giving improved comfort and eliminating condensation build- up inside the suit. For the freshwater reservoir,
loch or even river angler, Sundridge’s Super Crossfl ow two-piece suit is available in ‘carpy’ khaki, as well as high- visibility colours, meaning that the freshwater specialist angler can benefi t from the safety of a fl otation suit without standing out like a sore thumb.
