“We thought you’d like a brand-new Trakker…”
This is a bold statement from the Sheffi eld-based outfi t but,
30 years down the line, Tackle & Guns reports on why a new brand image for Trakker is just the start of things to come.
T
rakker has come a very long way since Carl Drabble founded the company back in 1983. T irty years on and
it has its sights set fi rmly on the future. Amid all the gloom and depression, Trakker is refusing to rest on its laurels. A new company image and
branding is just part of the plan to further push on the brand and strengthen its identity as a well- respected, extremely desirable tackle manufacturer.
New look Trakker’s new image,
including a master logo, icon logo and sub-brand logos, stems from a project that has been ongoing for the past 18 months. With the switchover coming
into play from February 1st, Dave Mills, Trakker’s brand manager, told Tackle & Guns: “T e rebranding project has allowed us to link all of our products under one easily recognisable family. “T ere is now synergy

Trakker has made two notable recent appointments to its already strong team. Jerry Bridger, formally

team as marketing manager, while Sam Cheetham, who brings eight years’ angling-retail experience, has come on board to bolster product development. T is spring also sees several
key product releases. Notably, Trakker has completely revamped both the Armo and Trident bivvies to off er what it describes as: “T e best bivvies we have ever produced.” Dave explained: “It was a hard task to make what we felt were the best bivvies on the market even better, but we’ve managed it
