Camden, Cherry Hill and Mt. Laurel, NJ

Location Reports

Market Place at Garden State Park in Cherry Hill is in the initial phase of a landmark development representing 530,000-square feet of national retailers and restaurants.

Garden State Park is an iconic property that is rich with history and tradition. In addition to the project’s retail concepts, this tradition will continue with Park Place and Village Place, the development’s res- idential phases that are expected to accommodate approximately 1,700 new town homes, condominiums, luxury rental homes and active adult residences. The community will enjoy a park setting with ball fields, amphitheater, walking paths, access to a direct rail line into Philadelphia, and a trolley system that is reminiscent of the old San Francisco street car.

Additional development within Garden State Park includes approximately one- million square feet of office space, as well as a conference center and hotel.

Adventure Aquarium along the Camden Waterfront is in the process of complete- ly renovating its outdoor exhibit space in order to make way for an expansive new penguin exhibit. This exhibit, which will take up a much larger footprint than the existing "Penguin Island," is expected to be the largest expansion since the aquar- ium first opened. To make way for the exhibit, the aquarium's seal colony had to be permanently relocated last fall to the new American Trail exhibit at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park in Washington, DC.

Adventure Aquarium offers unique set- tings for a variety of events, from corpo- rate meetings to social affairs. Its Currents Ballroom promotes mingling among sea creatures while guests enjoy

food and drink with views of the Philadelphia skyline.
