Independence and Maturity: growing together

The unity in the sixth form is extremely apparent, someone is always willing to lend an ear or give some advice. The whole point in sixth form is to prepare you for university and/or the real world. St. Angela’s and St. Bonaventure’s do a good job of this while nurturing you into respectable young adults. During the two years in 6th Form there is a lot to be done; we have to gain independence, maturity and all the skills necessary to survive in the outside world.

Taste of the Real World

During the time I’ve been here, whether during conference-like assemblies or while walking through the buzzing corridors, we are given a taste of the real world. Even the ‘suited and booted’ look of the uniform helps us to appreciate the essence of impressions and expression in the real world. Essential skills like public speaking is widely practiced and developed in the sixth form through events like debates and young enterprise, which we 100% enjoy! There are so many clubs and enrichment activities to get involved in. Last year I joined in the Young Enterprise group and discovered the competitive and innovative side of me.
