Internationally renowned architect Zaha Hadid was born in Baghdad and gained her Degree in Maths from the American University of Beirut before moving to London to study architecture. Zaha was the first female to be awarded the Pritzer Prize (‘The Nobel Prize for architecture’!) and designed the London Aquatic Centre for the 2012 Games. Zaha’s futuristic design was inspired by water flow. The secret of her success? ‘Be very focused, work very hard but ... you really have to have a goal.’
