It’s not as if Spain’s fledgling regulated online sector is launching from a standing start. Spain is already the third largest offline gambling market in Europe whilst its online sector accounts for 5.7 per cent of the total gambling market. Online poker accounts for 19 per cent of the online betting market, which as a whole is expected to grow in Spain by 15 per cent to €504m during 2013.
