Monthly revenues continue to disappoint for Atlantic City’s newest location, the Revel casino
Atlantic City’s Gross Gaming Revenue’s continued to drop despite the long- awaited US$2.4bn Revel casino being in its second month of operation. Gambling income dropped by 9.5 per cent compared to the same month a year ago with the seaside resort’s 12 casinos generating $263m in May.
Revel saw a slight climb in its revenues, recording $13.9m in May and $13.4m in April. John Kempf of Wells Fargo Securities, confirmed: “Revel's results came in weaker than expected. With the grand opening on Memorial Day weekend, we were expecting more of a robust performance.”
Analysts believe June will provide a better indication of how Revel is shaping up as 1,800 hotel rooms and 14 restaurants will all open. The continued opening of casinos in the ‘Northeast corridor’ has been blamed for the continual year-on- year decrease in drop. The latest casino

Parspro launches Cirsa’s state-of-art betting site
Sports betting solution provider Parspro has launched its state-of-the-art sports book solution on behalf of the Spanish gaming operator Cirsa, including pre-match and live betting for desktop computers as well as mobile devices.
