Female Focus
This month we shine the Female Focus spotlight on Emily Hullman.
Emily Hullmann, is 18 years old and has been singing / dancing / acting since she was 5 years old. When she lived in England - Bourton on the Water in Gloucestershire she appeared in Pantomime twice a year, with the local panto group.
When she was 13 she appeared on stage in a production of Annie, at her Majesty’s Theatre in London, progressing to dance and drama school in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
She has many awards and certifi cates for exams in dance and drama, but her fi rst love is music. At Access to Music college in Birmingham she concentrated on writing music and gaining more experience. Because Emily has dyslexia she found it hard to read music and has taught herself by ear, to play guitar and piano. If she hears a piece of music she can usually remember it and can play it more or less straight away.
She sings a wide variety of songs from artists like Jessi J, Adele, Maroon 5, Coldplay, Etta James, Pixi Lot etc and in 2011 she was a support act to BONEY M here on the Costas. She also took 1st place in The Costa Blanca Performing Arts Award 2011 for senior vocalist and took 1st place for best in competition gaining the highest award ever given. Earlier this year she won The Emerald Isle 2012 X Factor in La Florida Orihuela Costa.
Recently she bought an electric acoustic guitar and will now include that in her performances. It will also help her to write her own material and in recording her own CD.
Emily is available for bookings and is looking for management and would be willing to move back to England or America to persue a serious career in the music industry.
