At 3C Care, we are privileged to help many elderly people to lead a dignified life, despite many conditions including dementia, Alzheimer’s, or just plain old forgetfulness due to age. Sadly though, we also know of many cases where elderly people bypass care in the home and head straight for hospital where their plight isn’t so good. Many end up tied to a bed (“for their own safety”), with little or no human contact, losing not only their dignity, but also their basic human rights. We’re not here to criticise, but to show that these seriously distressing outcomes can be avoided. We also hear of many horror stories where elderly people are ‘befriended’ by their carer, and end up being ‘cleaned out’ of cash and belongings. And let’s be clear, this isn’t just a Spanish problem, we have many cuttings from the UK national press that shows going back to UK is no guarantee of things being any better.

When it comes to dementia etc, there are medical regimes which are proven to help, and with even just a little help from us, our seniors can live a peaceful and dignified life at home, without being so much of a burden to their loved one. We’re not even talking about 24
hour care, just a few visits a week can make all the difference in some cases. We believe in working with the whole family to find out what’s appropriate on an individual basis, this is one area where one size cannot fit all! We also work with other support services and charities to work out a full care solution! We want our service to be sustainable over the long run, we’re not in this to make a fast buck and get as much as we can as quickly as we can!
When it comes to trust, we run a thorough background check on ALL our staff, making sure their qualifications are real, and that they have a clean employment record. All our staff are legally employed with a proper contract and we carry public liability insurance. All of this is so that we, and you, can concentrate on the important matter of caring. Our watchword is ‘dignity’, both for the person in our care, and the way in which we run our business.
