Female Focus
Careline Theatre: Beach hut life is all about the right kind of people relaxing together but in Sand Castles, which plays the Careline Theatre in Alcalali from Thursday May 17th to Saturday May 19th, such bliss is shattered by three angry mums. The
resulting war is a joy to behold and far too funny to miss. Make certain you don’t. Curtain-up each evening at 8pm. Seats priced at 12€ with a 10% discount for party bookings of ten and over. Box office 652 294 750.

Spring is sprung and our thespians are spreading more than their fair share of sunshine around the Costas with their fabulous choice of productions this month. These range from Gilbert and Sullivan’s Mikado to a black comedy, the Wizard of Oz, variety and good old English farce. Keep it going amdram – buck the current trend of gloom and doom and keep the expat flag flying.

Calpe Gilbert and Sullivan Society: Mikado will be performed at the Calpe Casa de la Cultura on the 25th/26th of May. The society always welcomes newcomers so why not pop along and have a drink whilst listening to them rehearsing every Wednesday evening

Campoverde Theatre Group: The group now have a new venue for rehearsals and are well under way for their supper theatre to be held on June 11th /13th at the Asturias, Punta Prima. Cardinal Belluga Theatre Group: A date for your diary is Friday the 25th of May when the theatre group will be performing their latest production, Here We Go Again - A Night of Variety. The songs will take you on a trip down memory lane and

Costa Barber Singers: The Costa Barber singers are the oldest barbers shop chorus on the Costa Blanca and have been entertaining audiences along the coast since 1988, and all for charity. They are always keen to recruit new members and can be found rehearsing and socialising every Thursday at Restaurante La Torre in Benissa from 7.30pm. Foot l ights Theatre Group: Guys and Dolls will be performed in the Casa de Cultura, Calpe on November 8th /9th /10th, with a final performance at the Teatro Municipal, Torrevieja on Wednesday November 14th. This will be in association with the Royal British Legion in
