Enthusiastic videographers have been at hand to record family parties, new babies, granddad’s birthday and of course every wedding since 1973 when affordable colour video cameras first came on the market.
Some of us even managed the technologically challenging feat of recording the footage onto the new VHS tapes so we could watch them on the new fangled video recorders of the time. Now of course everything is digital (whatever that means) and we can easily get an 11 year old to put footage onto a computer and “burn” a DVD.
But whatever happened to all that “old” footage of granddad you took back in 1985? For many of us the answer is “in a dusty cardboard box in my under build/shed/loft”.
